10+ beautiful ideas for Easter

Easter is one of the main holidays and spring festival for Christian people who celebrates the belief in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Many churches hold special services on Easter Sunday, which celebrate the Jesus Christ's resurrection after his crucifixion. There are many interesting traditions in each country who celebrates Easter. Many people decorate eggs and bake special Easter cakes (Italy, Russia, Ukraine). In the USA, France it is also common to organize Easter egg hunts of eggs made of plastic with chocolate, candies, and toys inside. Eggs are hidden in the grass, supposedly by Easter bunny. It's a big fun for children and they love hunting.

Easter 2018 in the europian calendar occurs on Sunday, April 1. In Eastern Orthodox Christianity, which adheres to the Julian calendar, Easter falls on a Sunday, April 8.

Materials
1. Cotton yarn weight sport: green, black, yellow yarn.
2. Crochet hook steel 1.5 mm / US 8)
3. Yarn needle
4. Scissors

About yarn

If you would like to crochet a hat with the dimensions as I made, the list of yarn is below:
- For Europe: Phildar Phil Cotton 3, Bergere de France Cotton Fifty, Catania Schachenmayr Nomotta.
- For the USA: Patons Grace, Sofia and similar yarn.

About pattern

Skill level: Beginner.

This pattern is written in American terms: 

MR - magic ring
ch – chain stitch  
sl st – slip stitch 
sc – single crochet 
inc – increase
dc - double crochet 
inc dc – an increase of double crochet (2 dc in 1 stitch)
BLO - back loop only
Fasten off - 1 sl st in the next stitch, tighten the stitch

All the pieces are crocheted separately from the hat. 

Hat

Use green yarn. Crochet hook 1.5 mm
RND 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
RND 2: 6 inc (12) 
RND 3: (1 sc, 1 inc)*6 (18)
Place stitch marker.
RND 4: (2 sc, 1 inc)*6 (24)
RND 5: (3 sc, 1 inc)*6 (30)
RND 6: 30 sc BLO(30)

RND 7-13: 30 sc (30)
RND 14: 1 sc, 2 ch st, 1 dc in the first stitch, (1 dc, 1 inc dc)*14, 1 dc, 1 sl st 
Fasten off, cut yarn and weave in the end.

Band

Use black yarn. Crochet hook 1.5 mm
RND 1: 34 ch in a ring, join with 1 sl st in the first chain. 
RND 2: 33 sc, 1 sl st (34) 
Fasten off and cut yarn. Sew band to the hat.

Buckle

Use yellow yarn. Crochet hook 1.5 mm
RND 1: 16 sc in MR, fasten off and cut yarn leaving a long tail for sewing. 
Pull the magic ring thread slightly until you get a diameter of the buckle approx. 1 cm or 0.3 in, don’t close MR completely. Form the rectangle buckle with your hands and sew it to the black band.

Free crochet pattern RED HEART

Tiny red heart is the cutest addition to any accessory! Backpacks, purses, duffel bags, keys, you name it!
Perfect small gift for Valentine's Day, wedding favor, party favor.

Dimensions of the heart: 3,5x4 cm/1,3x1,5in

You need for the heart:
1. thin red yarn for crochet hook 1.5 mm
2. crochet hook 1 mm
3. stuffing
4. scissors
5. metal ring

About yarn

What kind of yarn I recommend for a heart.
I use always cotton yarn. 
If you would like to crochet a heart with dimensions as I did, I recommend you to buy the yarn of size 8 or 10 for crochet hook #1.3-1.5 mm/7-10, for example:
- For Europe: Deco 8, Deco 10, Multi 8 or 10, Sefora
- For USA: Red Heart classic 10, Artiste 10, Aunt Lydias classic 10

About pattern
This pattern is made for those, who knows crocheting, knows what means - magic ring, increase, invisible decrease, etc. and how to sew details together.

This pattern is written in American terms:

Use red yarn. Crochet hook 1 mm
RND 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
RND 2: 6 inc (12)

Put reminding yarn.
RND 4: 18 sc (18)
RND 5: (5 sc, 1 inc)*3 (21)
Cut yarn here, save last stitch. 
Crochet second part of heart from round 1.
RND 6: 1 sl st we join 2 stiches from both parts and crochet 21 sc of one part of heart and 21 sc of another one (42)

RND 8: 10 sc, 1 invdec, 18 sc, 1 invdec, 10 sc (40)
